Once again, it is the time of the year to get new, red and fat. Not to mention this year is my year. Rat, mouse, rodent.. wadeva u wanna call it. There is this distinctive trend which I've observed and experienced for these couple of years... and these are some of the qns that will pop out (WITHOUT FAIL) when I visit every house. There u go.. top 3 qns (in terms of times asked - 1 being the highest hit rate)
1. Wah.. getting prettier each year I see you. So how, got bf or not? or where is ur bf? 2. How old are you this year? 21 or 22? 3. Where are working at now? Still at the same place? which is?
Certain comments were made also like "Woah.. u look nicer now". When in explicit terms, it means u are getting fatter.. Sometimes I got it, sometimes I don't. Sometimes it serves as a trigger/ motivation, sometimes it serves as a BMI indicator. If I do get this kind of comment, I will use my dad's method when mum nags at him -> goes in one ear and comes out from the other.
Well, as you can see.. Sometimes CNY can be both joyous and painful. At times, you really wish you have a recorder and play it to those pple who asked these qns. It is really painful when pple keep asking. Don't get me wrong.. I'm cool with these qns - they are harmless after all. I guess they are a part of each and everyone's growing-up process.. *shrugs*
